​Douglas Wade is tasked with revitalizing the town’s biggest employer but has vowed to also turn around the town itself, after finding a lot of heart beneath the scraps.

 

Douglas quickly starts a relationship with Lucrezia and becomes entwined in the lives of the townsfolk, winning them over with his positivity, empathy, and charm.

 

But not everyone succumbs to Douglas’s optimism and confidence. The more he tries to change the town, the more he finds himself under attack.

 

Initially embarking on an adventure in goodwill, Douglas now finds himself in a brutal battle for the soul of the town.
