A Scrappy
New Series with Grassroots Muscle

Down here, the sky is twelve feet up.
Drop into a town of boards, bottles, and broken dreams; where pizza-makers, warehouse workers, newspaper writers, and street sweepers keep on moving during a time of industrial collapse.
Boxtown reexamines the state of the American town during a time of alienation and fragmentation, searching for the ties to hold us together through the thin hours of the night.

Studio-style filmmaking with a sustainable edge.
We film 90% in a studio space with modular sets that are easy to set up and take down. We use simple wooden flats with detailed paper and cardboard façades, and simple stage lighting that can be endlessly reconfigured.
No AI except for previsualization.
Our sets, props, and clothes are made from free or secondhand materials. As part of our sustainable initiative we are aiming to be close to zero-waste. We craft entire scenes from refuse sourced from local businesses and households. There is next to no budget spent on costumes, props, and the set, just time.
The studio doubles as a business or community center that generates income. The studio is a local arts center with concerts, gallery showings, craft courses, yoga classes, culinary pop-ups and community outreach.
