Torn between fulfilling the pugilistic legacy of a father enshrined across gyms, bars, and back alleys and realizing the dreams of a mother who fights every day for justice and knowledge, Joey comes back to his hometown in the company of a skateboarding band of rabble rousers looking to cut loose and search his soul for a new direction.

 

Joey’s talents in the ring earn him the support of the local business elite, but a new attachment to a dangerous girl threatens to compromise his golden boy makeover.

 

As a much-hyped match against a thuggish opponent draws near, Joey must also grapple with the full fury of the town's drama or risk being leveled twice over.
